HomeSpec is owned by licensed home inspector and InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI)®  John Harpole. He has been professionally inspecting homes for over 10 years and was trained at the American Home Inspection Training Institute (AHIT). As an InterNACHI CMI®, John holds the highest designation available from the InterNACHI home inspector association. Over the course of his career, John has developed a reputation in the area for being both personable and professional during his inspection services. He spends his spare time with his wife and their four children and grandson camping, sailing, and visiting Navarre Beach.

Over 30 Years in the Residential Building and Construction Industry

After moving around for much of his life with his two Air Force veteran parents, John settled in the mid-south and has worked in the housing industry in the three decades since. He attended Tennessee State Tech and majored in Architecture, eventually beginning his career as a draftsman for several Memphis architecture firms from 1985-1995. He began working as a custom home builder in 1995 and worked in the industry until 2001, when he was very first licensed as a home inspector. In 2009, he started working as an FHA 203(k) consultant and has been doing this and inspecting homes full-time since his re-licensing as a home inspector in 2013.

Theo Andry works as John’s partner at HomeSpec and is also a licensed home inspector and InterNACHI member. He has been involved in the residential construction industry for over 30 years and enjoys getting to work closely with home buyers, realtors, and lenders through their real estate transactions. He uses his experience and knowledge to provide clients with a more detailed perspective on their potential homes, always focusing on helping buyers make the best and most cost-effective decisions about their investments.
